Before we can upload your tracks to iTunes we need you to checklist the following:

Mastering

All music must be properly mastered and if the music hasn't then we strongly suggest you get professional mastering done before we can upload you tracks to iTunes. For information on mastering follow this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_mastering

ISRC codes

All tracks must have ISRC codes. This is the responsibility of the owners of the sound recording. Most likely you!

Every version of every song uploaded to iTunes requires an ISRC.  The International Standard Recording Code (ISRC) is the international identification system for sound recordings and music video recordings. Each ISRC is a unique and permanent identifier for a specific recording which can be permanently encoded into a product as its digital fingerprint. The ISRC provides the means to automatically identify recordings for royalty payments and, in many territories, is increasingly becoming a tool in the fight against piracy. To apply for an ISRC, please email isrc@aria.com.au

By identifying all sound and music video recordings that are released, regardless of the format that they are released in, the ISRC enables the tracking and tracing of these recordings through the music value chain. ARIA recommends that all music producers, both ARIA members and non-members, use the ISRC.
